My wife and I were unable to attend the first and second sessions of the retreat. When we got there we were not seeing eye to eye and we weren't talking about it. Chris had been asking alot of questions and like a good audience member I was actively engaged. He asked if anyone had something that their spouse does that they wanted to change/fix, so I raised my hand as I did with the other questions I agreed with. To my surprise he invited me to the stage, and asked me to bring my wife. I was reluctant to go and my wife also openly objected. With some persistence, he encouraged us to come up. Once we were on stage he asked me to tell him what my wife did that I wanted to change. I couldn't articulate what it was, but I shared with him the bump that we were having at the time and warned him that it was fresh. In about 10 minutes he coached us to complete resolve and reconciliation. It was amazing. I am not one to hold back and neither isy wife, so this could have been a complete train reck. Instead Chris showed his expertise in the field of couples counseling. We became a real life, on the spot success story. For the rest of the retreat people came up to my wife and I thanking us for going up. Most said they had similar experiences that weekend and how much what Chris did for us helped them also. It was truly an act of God. Only He could have known what we were going through and how many lives were going to be impacted from a simple question and coaching on the art of listening.

Chris did a workshop for our church marriage retreat and he was phenomenal! He was very interactive and we witnessed how he diffused different conversations that could have potentially escalated on the spot.
